| Kruger National Park - Lodges - Singita Private Game Reserve - Lebombo Lodge |
Accommodation is in 15 cliff side suites, with glass walls, and each enjoying commanding views – it is easy to see why the lodge was inspired by the theme of eagle’s nests. The suites are air-conditioned, with en suite bathroom, including outdoor shower. The décor mixes cotemporary styles with wide-open spaces. Constructed of glass, slatted wood and bleached branches, Lebombo has been called an architectural masterpiece.
The main Lodge boasts an open-air lounge complete with library. The dining areas overlooks the expanse of the concession. Meals are enjoyed, to the accompaniment of excellent wines, on the wooden deck, or indoor dining room, whilst dinners are also taken in the open-air Boma, or in the privacy of your own suite.
Game drives take place in the early morning, and again in the late afternoon – the best times for game viewing. The afternoon drive continues into the evening, where a spot light allows for viewing of the nocturnally active and elusive species. For the more adventurous, there is also a guided bush walk – surely the best way to enjoy the area.
Singita Lebombo also features an art gallery, gym and health spa. In addition there is a wine boutique as well as an interactive ranger centre. For additional relaxation there is a swimming pool.
