The satellite Lodge – Sweni, has only 6 suites – all set along the Sweni River. Accommodation boasts floor to ceiling glass, is air-conditioned, and en suite, complete with outdoor shower. Suites are also equipped with mini-bar, safe, and game-viewing deck.
Singita Sweni lodge was wholly inspired by the immensity of the African sky, and takes additional inspiration from the earth. The lodge is built on stilts with decks of dark timber. Expressing a distinctly African style, Sweni is a combination of dark wood, infused by the colours of the earth… including deep greens.
The main lodge boasts lounge and deck, with views of the bush, also a bar area, swimming pool and cellar.
Game drives take place in the early morning, and again in the late afternoon – the best times for game viewing. The afternoon drive continues into the evening, where a spot light allows for viewing of the nocturnally active and elusive species. For the more adventurous, there is also a guided bush walk – surely the best way to enjoy the area.
